Can I get to the apartments easily from the airport?

There are a few different options for airport transfers: taxis, airport shuttle buses and rental cars. We will give you information about the options when you make a reservation. The apartments are located about 20 minutes north of Cairns airport.

The apartments are on the top floor of the Marlin Waters building, across from the life guard patrolled beach.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

The Reception Office is open from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Check-in time is from 2:00pm and check-out is 10:00am. Arrivals and departures outside these hours may also be possible, please contact us with your request.

Are the two apartments (Islands and Reef) the same?

Yes, the apartments have identical floor plans and fittings. Both apartments are located on the top floor (4th) of the building. They are side by side but not interconnecting. The only differences between the two apartments are in colour scheme and décor.

Why are the apartments called Coral Sea Beachfront Apartments when they are located in the Marlin Waters building?

All the apartments in the building are individually owned. When you book with us, you are guaranteed a top floor apartment- the same apartment that you have chosen from our website.

You still have full use of all the building’s facilities (the pool, the BBQ, the undercover parking), and the on-site mangers are there to assist you throughout your stay.

The apartments are on the top floor, is there an elevator?

Yes, there is a lift.

Is Internet available?

Yes, wireless internet is available throughout the building. You can purchase time blocks from the Reception Office for a fee.

Do I need a rental car in Palm Cove?

No, there are small grocery stores, medical facilities, multiple restaurants and cafes all within walking distance in Palm Cove village. All major tour companies will also pick you up from the apartment building.

If you want to explore the area in your own car, the on-site managers can arrange for car rental for you.

I want to do various activities during my stay, do I need to pre-book my tours?

No, there is no need to pre-book any tours. The on-site managers run a full booking office from Reception. They will be happy to help you with any tour bookings and travel advice.
